Destiny joins MMWV after serving as a patent agent for eight years at Bayer Corporation supporting the Seeds business (which was recently divested to BASF Corporation). Prior to joining Bayer, she worked for a large law firm serving industry and academic clients in a wide range of biotechnology fields such as:
- vaccines
- antibodies
- cancer detection tools
- plant and animal breeding mechanisms
- genetically modified plant biotechnology
- disease screening tools
- molecular markers
- range of laboratory tools
Destiny is an alumna of Francis Marion University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She attended the University of South Carolina for her post-graduate program where she received her Ph.D. in Biomedical Science. Following graduate school, she served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences / National Institute of Health (NIEHS/NIH).
